A sun storm has scrambled ORBI, the friendly base computer, and every hatch at Moonbeam Base is locked with a puzzle. The rocket home leaves in 60 minutes. That is the setup for Moon Base Escape Room, a printable space escape room party game for kids 8 to 12.
How a game runs
- Three squads (Green, Blue, Orange) play side by side, so nobody waits.
- Each squad solves four puzzles, easy to harder, then all squads meet for the finale.
- Every puzzle gives a code. The host, acting as Mission Control, checks it and hands over the next envelope.
- Hint cards (three hints a puzzle) and hint tokens mean no squad is ever stuck.

What the puzzles are
There are 13 puzzles in the main game and 6 in a bonus Expert Mission. Five kinds are math pyramids (a sum pyramid, a picture pyramid, a pyramid maze, a wrong-brick pyramid and the Launch Pyramid finale), and the other eight include a dot-to-dot, a cut-out telescope mask, a decoder wheel, a logic grid, moon balance scales, a toothpick puzzle, a rover coding route and a fold-in reveal. The maths is adding, taking away and simple division for about grades 3 to 5.
