Why number pyramids?
Small puzzles, real practice
Every brick is the sum of the two below it. That one rule gives you:
- Mental arithmetic in small bites. Lots of adding and subtracting, each sum small enough to enjoy.
- Logical reasoning. Each puzzle has one answer you can prove, so you reason it out instead of guessing.
- Working both ways. Build up from the base, or work back down from the top.
- Instant self-checking. One wrong brick spoils the rows above, so you learn to check your own work.
- A calm, screen-free break. Pencil, paper and a puzzle that fits in a bag. For ages 10 to adult.
