At a bend of a rainforest river, the longest anaconda anyone has seen is fast asleep in front of your canoes. The rule of the bend is simple: give the snake room. Nobody wakes her and nobody touches her. Anaconda Bend: The Longest Snake is a printable jungle escape room party game for ages 7 to 11, and the way home is through the old Bend Gate, which opens by measuring.
How it plays
- Players make three crews: the Bank Crew, the River Crew and the Canopy Crew. Each crew solves four puzzles, easy to harder, side by side.
- Every puzzle ends in a code. The crew finds it on the Bend Board: the same picture sign as on the puzzle page means the code is right, and no grown-up has to check.
- The matching envelope holds one piece of a paper anaconda with a centimetre scale on her belly. The crew tapes it in where its centimetres fit.
- The head and the tail lie on the floor from the start, so the children watch the gap close until the snake is 4 metres long.

Measuring Day
The finished snake becomes the ruler. Everybody measures six real animal lengths against her, from a newborn anaconda to a big arapaima fish. The six sun spots they land on fill the Bend Gate, a number pyramid, and its top brick is the gate code. Inside waits the Keeper's Note, which the snake's gold letters decode.
Gentle on the animals
No animal is chased, caught, touched or harmed in this game. The snake sleeps, the children go round her, and she swims away by herself. The anaconda facts in the Fact File are true. If the time runs out nobody loses: the rain starts, the canoes wait a little longer and the game goes on.
